Snowwhite and the 7 Dwarfs in the cinema. Very good indeed. Every one seemed to like it.  – Leon wasn’t there. Didn’t expect him to and would have been really at a loss should he have turned up. So it is all at an end. He simply stopped existing any longer. Or rather I don’t care what happens to him in future, he is completely indifferent. He can even marry for all I care. I forgive him for everything, can afford it.

This morning Vin was here to see Mother. These meetings upset me. I think I’ll have to do something definite. A most disagreeable thing happened, I rang up Leon, again he said he was too busy and would I rang him up next week, so I just rang off. Thought all over in a minute, thinking this couldn’t go any farther and we must make an end of it somehow, having it all out so again I rang him up. He just told he didn’t have time in such a voice, that I lost my temper and gave way to a short but expressive remark of T g. (?) He didn’t hear it but I hope he felt it. Afterwards I wrote him a nice little letter well thought over, telling that as here were questions which must be discussed and as I never had the chance would he meet me next day after cinema. He must have misunderstood previous cases asking for same. If he wouldn’t i.e. in negative case I wouldn’t ?? him in any was in the future. And I swear to keep it. It has all gone too far. I know it for quite certain that he won’t come so I’ll stop even thinking of him and will look out for more realistic plans. After what has happened and after his words and behaviour I feel myself free of all consideration for him.

Too late for mass and couldn’t go to another. Dr ? and not so hopeless. Irén, whom I invited for the afternoon couldn’t come. Went to the cinema and thought of meeting that man, Leon too, but it didn’t come off.

According to our yesterday’s appointment went to the Clinic. Didn’t speak much with Vin. Had to ask him to see Mother, but most unexpectedly Father asked our old Dr too, so I put Vin on to next day. Tried to speak with Leon.

Had to do in town on business. Mother worse. The kid, Gyuszi, operated. His ears. Things are dark.

Theatre this evening. Ordasok by Kitsberg. Good but sad. Árva Magda there. Seems funny. Had a friend there at the interval a man whom she asked to go to the Office in the Hospital where her Grandmother is lying. Don’t like her ways. Seems to be so unsettled. This comes from an irregular marriage I suppose. She must be thinking of doing same over again with a better match than her husband. That is why she is so eager about men. Don’t like the whole affair.

Mother ill. Must have caught Father’s cold and that other thing is troubling her too. Won’t see a Dr. Am thinking of calling Vin. or anyone else.

A typical day. Weather cold + clear. Lovely wintery. Been to the church but the sermon being in the middle of the mass was at home at noon only. Martha + family already with us. Mother not feeling well. Been silly enough to ring up after some difficulties dear exfriend Leon. Couldn’t speak with him as he was in his bath. Typical too. Later it was too late. Cinema in the afternoon. Was quite frightened as Mother had a temperature of 39°2.

Again such a rush, everyone was nervous. I too, I’m afraid. My case on account of the dear friend of mine. Exfriend rather as he gave it up. Must really stop it all and it will be so.

Was mad enough to ring up dear Leon this morning. Didn’t want to finish the year with this misunderstanding, but he seem to be hard headed as a mule. Nasty too. He promised, or let us be quite true, I made him promise to meet in the evening. I was to ring him up which I did. Have a good reason to think that he rang off when hearing me the nasty chap (?). Spoke with his brother afterwards. So it is all off. Better to finish all in this year as I intend next one to be completely different.
