Today I bought a silver powder casquette as a recompense for giving up the thought of skiing. I really did want to learn it and it isn’t so expensive if one has everything necessary. As I have nothing it would have been a little bit difficult. As it is, I’m going to buy all the periphernalia bit by bit, now that it is going to be cheaper, being out of the season soon. Anyway I find it good tactics always to ask for something big Mother doesn’t approve of and then be satisfied with something less of which she doesn’t approve either, or wouldn’t in other circumstances, but says nothing against under such.  – Gym lesson is bit short today, on my account.
